“
Generation Impact,” is the summer program for Junior Volunteers (ages 14 to 17) to assist in a variety of hospital departments, attend career classes and participate in job shadowing to learn about healthcare professions.
The application process begins in March for the following summer and includes obtaining references from a teacher or leader, a personal interview and attendance at an orientation session. Parents are invited to attend a parent’s night presentation to learn about the summer schedule once their teen has been accepted into the program.
Junior volunteers work from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. two days a week during June and July. Junior volunteers purchase their own uniforms, and participate in a variety of workshops and an annual recognition event. No membership dues are required.
