St. John Wound Center is a patient focused, goal oriented and evidence-based wound center. We take a multidisciplinary team approach in providing patient care. The Wound Center works with many care providers in the community including surgeons, physical therapists, podiatrists, home health and primary care physicians to offer patients the most complete care possible. The Wound Center aims to treat the whole patient, not just the wound.
A patient with a slow healing or chronic wound may be a candidate for a wound center referral. Wounds that do not heal in a timely manner, usually between 2-4 weeks can become chronic. A patient can ask their primary care physician or surgeon for a referral to the wound care center if they have concerns about their wound(s).

- Pressure ulcers
- Lower Extremity Ulcer
- Diabetic Ulcers
- Venous insufficiency
- Ischemic ulcers
- Neuropathic ulcers
- Surgical wounds
- Vasculitis
- Burns
- Other Non-healing wounds
Hyperbaric Technology
The Wound Center features six BARA-MED® XD Monoplace Hyperbaric Chambers, the first computer-controlled hyberbaric chambers in Oklahoma. The BARA-MED® XD provides a patient friendly pressurization alternative, “Smooth Ride,” that minimizes complications due to middle ear and sinus barotraumas without increasing compression time.The BARA-MED® XD includes a 4th generation Windows-based operating system which controls and records chamber activity.
