What to Bring to the Hospital
Below is our suggested list of items for you to bring to the hospital when you come for the birth of your baby. We want your labor and delivery to be as special and unique as you are, therefor, use this list as a guide, but feel free to bring items that will make you comfortable during labor and the birth of your baby memorable.
Items for Mom:
Birth plan
Labor support aids such as focal point items, massage lotions, iPod or other portable music devices
Pillows
Lip balm
Socks
Personal hygiene items such as toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo, make-up, brush, comb
Loose fitting clothing to wear home
Nursing bra if planning on breastfeeding
Items for Support Person/Coach:
Watch with a second hand to time contractions
Camera
Snacks
Phone numbers of family and friends
Sweatshirt or jacket--even during warm weather months
Books or magazines
Personal items if staying overnight
Items for Baby:
Baby book
Outfit for baby to wear home
Outfit for baby's first photograph session
Receiving blanket
Car seat
Medical Items:
Insurance card
List of allergies or medical history
List of medications or supplements
Advance Directive
Name and phone number of your baby's physician
